Description: | Love Light - Passion Fruit Wit. Brewed for hundreds of years, the Belgian White ale was almost extinct when a milkman with an apparent affinity for very pale beverages revived the style in the 1960's. Belgian Wits (white) Ales, are made with pale malts and a large portion of unmalted wheat which gives it a very pale color and cloudiness - hence the "white". Traditionally made with orange peel and coriander; we used coriander but substituted passion fruit. Adding fruit pre-fermentation will allow the yeast to eat most of the sugar in the juice during fermentation resulting in much fruitiness without all the sweetness. This wit is dry and very refreshing at 4.7% ABV. Come try one today! "Turn on Your Lovelight" is also an amazing song by Memphis legend Bobby Blue Bland - who is considered second only to BB King in terms of his rise from a Beale Street performer in the 50s. This song went on to be a staple cover song for greats like Van Morrison and the Grateful Dead, but nobody puts emotion and charisma into the tune like Bobby! R.i.P | |
