| Description: | Pours a deep dark brown almost black. The aroma and taste are similar with strong molasses and a licorice after tastes, however while the aroma is heady with weight the beer itself is a bit lighter than expected. The Belgian yeast and brewing style provide a mild amount of acidity and cut the weight. The finish is sweet, boozy and bears a nice amount of coffee with mild lingering yeast tang, thought not sour in any way. 8.9% ABV | |
