| Description: | This extremely rare version of the original Icon Gold is a stylistic anomaly. Starting life as a dark very high ABV Biere de Saison, somewhat of a half Biere de Garde and half Saison, this version has been aged in Bishops Barrel #2 casks. The Chardonnay casks, themselves infected with Brettanomyces, have added subtle cherry, plum, vanilla and brown sugar notes while the wild yeast has dried the beer out ever so slightly leaving it with a soft almost velvety mouthfeel. 10%+ ABV | |
