| Description: | Aged for 2 years in oak and an additional 2 years in stainless with 1.2lbs of currants per gallon, this beer had a mixed fermentation consisting of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and a traditional ale yeast. The finished beer is deep red with raisin, chocolate and sour cherries in the aroma. Tart and spicy, Currant Affair has a complex flavor profile with notes of chocolate, stone fruit and brown sugar. The finish of this beer is dry with a surprisingly full mouthfeel and a lingering tartness. 7.2% ABV | |
