Description: | As if a big robust Russian Imperial Stout wasn't big enough. The brewers at Brouwerij De Molen brewed this using peated malt and barrels from Bruichladdich Distillery and the presence of scotch whiskey is impossible to miss. The initial impression is the strong peated aromas along with a fresh pot of dark roast coffee. The flavors follow similar lines with the slightly salty peat moss and peated malt take the drinker right to the shores of Scotland...or to their favorite bottle of scotch. These notes are quickly blended with coffee, bakers chocolate and a touch of vanilla. The warm sensation of alcohol is impossible to miss in this overall smooth brew and lingers well into the finish. 12% ABV | |
