Description: | Named after famed Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, this Imperial Russian Stout is bottle conditioned with a secondary pitch of yeast. The result is a stiff yet smooth chocolate tinged stout with exceptional carbonation. Pours a deep auburn brown with a soft brown head. Aromas of bakers chocolate, tobacco, espresso and a very slight hint of dark stone fruit. Warming alcohol on first taste gives way to the impression of a chocolate covered chile pepper. Full bodied and full of flavor, the chocolate and pepper notes linger. 8.4% ABV | |
