Description: | The history: In 1878, 19-year-old William George Hughes left England, settled in Boerne, and became a prominent rancher. Willy died tragically in a train accident in 1902. This tribute English-style ale has just enough hop bite to counter its pale grain maltiness. The beer: The aroma is of caramel which filters up from a hazy rich copper pour. There is a lasting foamy tan head and moderate lacing. Roasted malts, caramel, and some grain in the middle is what you can expect from the flavor. Finishes bitter and the malt /hop combination lingers into the aftertaste. Medium body. 6.5% ABV | |
