| Description: | This beer was brewed specially for Nashville’s Craft Beer Week. The name 440 has a double meaning. “440” is the pitch standard when tuning many musical instruments as well as being a major highway in the Nashville area. A Roggenbier is a German style Rye beer fermented with Weizen yeast. It pours a hazy coppery brown color with a thick off-white head. Medium bodied with high carbonation which is normal for a Roggenbier. The aroma is full of fruity, banana, citrusy notes and a touch of clove. The flavor mimics the aroma but with the addition of a spiciness which comes from the use of Rye malt. You will find slight caramel and chocolate notes in the finish. 4.9% ABV | |
