Description: | Slightly lighter in color than most dubbels, this new Trappist beer, hailed a "bright dubbel" by the monks of Engelszell that brew it, pours a rich honey red. Aromas of honey, dark breads, figs, dates, and raisins dominate with hints of peppery spice in the background. The taste follows suit, with definite notes of honey up front that quickly give way to sweet alcohol which dominates the lingering dry finish of this beer. 6.9% ABV | |
