| Description: | El Robusto is a traditional example of a robust porter. Brewed with a pale base and four specialty malts, the beer is designed not only as a standalone beer, but also as beer that can serve as a base to have other flavors layered on it. It is made with three hops, with a traditional Hallertauer mixed with a couple of other not so traditional ones. It's dark color comes from a generous amount of black patent malt. It has a mild chocolate and roasted characteristic with some dryness and coffee like bitterness. It should pair nicely with heavier foods and sweet items. The flavor will change quite a bit as you work your way deeper into the glass and it will open up as it warms. 7.4 ABV | |
