| Description: | Light black with a thin persistent light tan head. Nose doesn’t really have a ton of spice, its mostly dark roast malt, earthiness, and a touch of hops, though I can’t pinpoint what kind of profile. Just a sort of semi-generic porter aroma. The taste though brings out some of that spice quality; subtle sweetness behind a roasty black malt, dry cocoa tones, a touch of licorice, cinnamon, cardamom, and a lasting finish of something like sage, or some other cooking herb. | |
