Description: | This beer, named for the Egyptian Gods representing the boar and the crocodile, pours a nearly opaque black with highlights of deep burgundy settled beneath a rich tan head. It smells of dark, slightly charred chocolate with small hints of pine in the background. The taste is complex with roasted chocolate dominating upfront and hints of dark fruit and syrupy licorice following before giving way to toasted caramel with piney hops. It is a medium to full bodied beer with a little more creaminess than the style suggests. It finishes with a nice bit of complex bitterness ranging from dark chocolate to pine resin. 8% abv. | |
