Style:Porter
Brewer:Turtle Anarchy Brewing Co
Franklin, TN
Country:United States
Container:Draught
Description:This ale was brewed to commemorate the Battle of Franklin which occurred on November 30th, 1864. Turtle Anarchy is donating $5 from each keg purchased to the Battle of Franklin Trust, a local charity dedicated to maintaining and restoring the properties, artifacts, and documents relate to the Battle of Franklin in order to preserve its history. This brew pours a dark brown, almost black color with a nice caramel head. It has an aroma of smoked pepper, light coffee, and dark chocolate. The smoky flavor is subtle but easily noticeable but won’t blow you away. The flavor mimics the aroma with an added mild spiciness. The roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavors will linger well after you swallow your last sip
