Description: | While beech wood is typically used for all of Schlenkerla's rauchbeers, this one changes it up and uses oak. This results in a smoother and more subdued smoked flavor. Pours a clead light amber, head dissapears quickly. Aroma is campfire smoke, not much else. Tastes much more complex, with sweet caramel malt and mild hops backing up the smoke well. Finishes smoky as expected with a bit of alcohol as well. 8% ABV | |
