Description: | Extremely rare and sought after, Bell's Batch 9000 is the most recent release from this great Michigan brewery. An imperial stout weighing in at 12.8% ABV, pouring an opaque black with a thin tan head that quickly fades from the alcohol and lack of residual sugars. Aromas of coriander, anise, licorice, rootbeer, molasses and coffee, along with pine and grassy hop aromas lead the charge, with flavors of bitter cocoa, toast, molasses, fig, plum, licorice, dark roasted malt and the blackness of the human heart follow close behind. This dark, intense brew will age quietly in a dark cellar for years to come, brooding in the shadows, refining its sharp edges and becoming a more rounded, characterful, complex and thought provoking beer. Again, 12.8% ABV. | |
