Description: | Color is almost pitch black but holds some red hints as well. The thick pale brown head is creamy and takes some time to dissipate, leaving rich lacings. Sweet light roasted malt. Rich hoppiness; both floral and bitter: citric and tropical fruits faint grapefruit. In the back there's some dark dried fruits. Sweet malt, roasted and probably at least aged in oak wood-barrels; there's some vanilla in it. Bitter dark chocolate and faint coffee loaded with bitter hops. Molasses and dark dried fruits. Finish is rather long and holds a bitterness but also a coffee-tone. Body is full and carbonation moderate. | |
