Description: | Pours a deep brown, rather hazy, with some red hues. A thin off white head forms and quickly dissipates leaving no lace behind. Aroma is definitely malty. Bits of caramel and grain dominate. The taste is fine, much better than my first attempt at this beer. Definitely a malt forward beer. Caramel and grain dominate this brew through and through. The first time I drank this beer, I thought it had the taste of hay, but I don't think that's the case now. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice gentle carbonation tingle. Drinkability is moderate to high. Definitely sessionable, and enjoyable to drink. It is a rather full flavored bock though so consuming several may be quite a task. 6.2% ABV | |
