This brew pours a deep, rust brown with a white foamy head.  The barrel aging of this brew steps it up in so many ways.  It hits the aroma with notes of burnt brown sugar that compliment the subtle smoky peat.  The flavor has a caramel sweetness that brings forward the roast of the malt already present and harmonizes with the dark, fruity flavor presence.  The already sweet, roasted finish is played up by the boozy barrel aging and although this brew has plenty of flavor, it is still not overwhelming and maintains its drinkability for those who like medium bodied brews. 5.8% ABV
