Description: | This brew carries a deep honey amber color with a delicate creme of foam. The barrel is front and center as the caramel from malt resonates wonderfully with the wood caramels, vanilla and toasty char. Pepper, grain and citrus float just above the sweetness and carry the taste into the middle palate. With sweetness holding firm, simple syrups, honey and caramel are steadfast even as the intensity of hops and rye grow. Grapefruit, orange and floral flavored hops turn pleasantly grassy, piney and peppery while the special "zing" from rye provides a husken, earthy grit as the beer nears closure. It is medium bodied. 10% ABV | |
