Brewer: | Shmaltz Brewing Co. San Francisco, CA
Country: | United States
Container: | Draught | |
Description: | Pours a garnet amber with a light tan head that is not big but stays coating the surface and ringing the glass. The aroma of Belgian ale dominates the nose as well as dark fruit. Hints of dark chocolate and caramel malt along with some fruitiness, but not like you would expect knowing grape juice has been added. Belgian presence is most noticable in the aroma and the doppelbock in the taste. Good effort once again by the Hebrews!
