Description: | Every year the folks have a competition among home brewers to see who can come up with the best recipe. The winner gets their beer brewed at the brewery, thus creating the Pro-Am series. This years winner was Ed Condon of Spring, TX. The smoked porter is black in color, and has a pronounced smoky nose with accents of chocolate and roast malt. The mouthfeel is full with more smoky flavors giving way to chocolate and caramel. The maltiness of this beer is nicely balanced by using a moderate amount of Pacific Northwest hops. 5.8% ABV | |
