| Description: | Thomas Hardys Ale is the beer enthusiast's equivalent of rare cognac. Bottle-conditioned to mature in the bottle like fine wine, this old ale/barley wine will improve with age for at least 26 years! It pours a rich brown with a small, short-lived head. The aroma is heavily malty with caramel and toast. The flavor is dark fruits mixed with molasses. Very sweet and full bodied. The alcohol just comes through a tad in the flavor and a touch of burn in the back of the throat. | |
