| Description: | Hellhound is a super-hoppy ale that maxes out at 100 IBUs, 10.0% ABV, 10.0 SRM in color, and dry-hopped with 100% centennial hops at a rate of 100 kilos per 100 barrel brew-length. Dogfish Head again worked with Sony Legacy (the same folks they worked with on Miles Davis's Bitches Brew) to make a brew that paid homage to legendary bluesman Robert Johnson whose 100th birthday is this year. To accentuate and magnify the citrusy notes of the centennial hops, the brewers added dried lemon peel and flesh to ramp up the citrus taste. | |
