Description: | We released a new beer with an old name, Prudhomme. This Belgian Pale Ale gets its name form Fort Prudhomme, a stockade built by the French near present-day Memphis back in 1682. This was the first structure built by the French in Tennessee and its exact location had been lost to the sands of time. (We like to think it was built where the Bass Pro Pyramid now stands.) Prudhomme which translates into "an honorable, upstanding man" is a refreshing beer with a moderate hop present well balanced against its malt bill. Look for fruity notes typical of Belgian styles. It;s a refreshing beer for the Memphis summer but, at 6.2% ABV, it gives plenty of flavor. | |
