Description: | This big bock strength Schwarzbier was brewed with Weyermann Isaria 1924 malt, along with Pilsner, Munich a large helping of Chocolate malt. Double Decocted, bittered with German Traditon hops. Fermented in stainless with our Haus lager yeast, then lagered for 24 week in a mix of Madeira finished bourbon barrels and Orange Curacao barrels. Robust bitter chocolate oak tannins and espresso flavors up front. Subtle herbal notes of lavender, orange zest and vanilla. Pairs with Emmental cheese, beef stew, and derby pie. 8.0% ABV | |
