Description:A Belgian Lambic sour beer aged 12-18 months then blended with wine grapes. This blend uses Merlot (55%), Grenache Noir (35%), and Syrah (10%) grapes all from the Burgandy region of France. Pours a brilliant crimson maroon. Little to no head with very slight legs on the glass wall. Nose is very vinous, notes of crushed red grapes, cranberry and blackberry. Tannin notes are pronounced, something we haven't experienced even in other grape lambics and wine hybrids, a testament to the aging and grape selection here. Body is light medium and flavor is fleeting into acidic tartness when the beer is under 42 degrees. Allowing it to warm opens up notes of dark chocolate and very mild cellar funk. Finish has a drying character also reminiscent of a light French red. An incredible hybrid of beer and wine making
