| Description: | A strong golden lager brewed to celebrate the return of Spring. Fass' version was brewed with German Barke Pilsner, Barke Vienna, Carahell, and Carared malts, hopped with German Magnum and Hersbrucker, and fermented with a particularly special German Festival Lager yeast. Naturally carbonated during a cold and slow fermentation with a spundapparat, the beer was then lagered at near-freezing temperatures for ten weeks. Although Maibock has a formidable alcohol content, it’s smooth and clean, with just enough bitterness to balance the intense malt flavors. | |
