Description: | This very special regional beer with its beautiful amber color is obtained with two types of malts, hops, yeast, pure water and white crystallized sugar only, and its purity is evident at first sip. A delicious everyday beer, it is neither light nor insanely heavy (8% abv), and it drinks equally well with food. Cloudy orange honey color with a cream-colored frothy head. Spicy hop aromas with suggestions of orange, yeast, pine and apple precede the heavily carbonated mouth, which is loaded with flavors of hay, green apple, pepper, cardamom and toast followed by balanced warmth. The finish is dry but malty, with dried-grass notes leading into an appropriately tannic, resiny hop-oil finish. The citrusy notes appeal to summer, while the velvety texture and caramelized malt notes play to fall. |
