The base of this bourbon barrel aged beer is Pumpkinator, a legendary imperial pumpkin stout. It pours a dark brown black with a small tan head. Smells like a sweet pumpkin pie with pleasing bourbon and vanilla overtones. The taste begins with sweet malt, chocolate and spices followed by a warming vanilla rum finish. The pumpkin creates a pleasant body to this beer which holds up to the onslaught of flavors. It is oddly balanced with the hops, creating a crisp finish leaving the mouth wanting more. As it warms, all of the flavors become rounder and fuller. 12.6% ABV
