Description: | Adhering to the Méthode Tradionnelle standard of brewing, this spontaneously fermented ale was aged for 18-24 months on french oak barrels and re-fermented with Wisconsin black raspberries for three months. Pours a beautiful deep purple, with garnet highlights and a fizzy, sparkling head. Dark berries and a slight vinous character come through on the nose. Taste is full of jam-like dark berry flavors, balanced with sharp acidity and very little funk. Mouthfeel is spritzy and effervescent. Finishes dry, with a lingering acidity on the palate. | |
