Since we released Art Car IPA back in August 2015, it’s quickly become a brewery favorite. Recently, we reflected on what makes it such an enjoyable beer: big hop aroma, slight malt backbone to provide balance, and a clean finish that doesn’t leave a bitter ending. For Double Art Car IPA, we wanted to take these components and amplify them. We increased the malt bill to bring up the alcohol a little bit – up to 8.3% ABV. We also added a Citra dry hop at the start of fermentation to bring out an additional burst of bright citrus aroma and flavor – still with a clean finish.
