From the award winning Mysterium Verum barrel series - This Imperial Russian Stout was aged for 7 months on Real Ale Whiskey barrels.  Nose has a slight warming alcohol along with boozy toffee, brandy, oak, cacao and burnt bread.  The initial barrel notes are at the forefront but not overwhelming with a good hint of barrel char and spicy oak.  Big stout characters you would expect are all here, warming alcohol, bakers chocolate, espresso, caramel and dark fruit.
