| Description: | Pours pitch black in color with a beige creamy head that has great retention. Plenty of oaky bourbon on the nose that adds some vanilla, as well as a spicy element. Undertones of chocolate, oats, caramel and dark fruits. Predominately barrel on the nose. Taste is an onslaught of barrel; barrel juice, spicy oak, pretty much straight bourbon up front. Mid-palate brings out the typical sweet malty notes of a ST Stout; dark chocolate, cake icing, caramel, pastry stout-like. The finish continues with more bourbon barrel and lingers of barrel juice and oak. ABV 12.6% | |
