Great head production, retention, and lacing all around. Nose features plenty of classic stout notes of brown sugar, coffee, caramel, toffee, and red grapes, but the maple swoops in and adds a wonderful complement, sweet and mildly woody. Sweeter up front on the palate than the nose implies, with plenty of maple character. Around mid-palate, more woody tones emerge, as well as coffee and chocolate. Throughout, maple, brown sugar, toffee, and dates provide a rich, sweet experience. Creamy, smooth, full bodied but light drinking for an imperial stout. 10% ABV
