| Description: | Belgian Strong Dark Ale aged in bourbon barrels. Nose is close to tradiitonal Belgian Quad or Strong Dark with notes of fig, caramel, toffee, molasses and port. Mouthfeel is massive with wet bourbon soaked oak notes right off the bat giving the beer a big warming alcohol note. Underlying notes of burnt sugar, dark chocolate, dark cherry, molasses and bakers chocolate. Carbonation is medium high and assertive which helps lighten the heft some, still a big monster beer. | |
