Description: | First stop on your trip around the world we head to the UK for Fuller’s ESB. This Extra Special Bitter pours an amber color with a light to medium body. Aromas of chestnuts & toasted sweet breads. The flavor adds toffee, orange rind, hints of honey, & herbal notes. 5.9% ABV. Next stop we travel to Belgium for the Chimay Premier Dubbel. Dark red-copper color with aromas of figs & dates. This Trappist Ale, brewed at the Abbey of Notre Dame de Scourmont, closely mimics the characteristics of the aroma within its taste & finish, along with a lingering hint of alcohol. 7% ABV. Third stop we go to Canada for Unibroue’s La Fin Du Monde Triple. Golden in color, this triple fermented Belgian style ale pours with a thick white head and has aromas of coriander, spices, & sweet floral citrus. Flavors of banana, apple peel, & clove follow throughout the taste with a slight alcohol finish. 9% ABV. Lastly we finish in the US of A with Destihl’s Dosvidanya. Like a Russian M atryoshka this Russian Imperial Stout lies locked deep within the wooden layers. A dark brown tan head & medium body. Aromas of bourbon, cocoa & oak. Rich flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, black cherries & coffee along with robust & roasty maltiness that finishes dry. 12.5% ABV. Cheers! |
