Description: | English style barleywine aged on bourbon barrels for nearly two years. Pours cola brown with virtually no head. Aromatics of sticky toffee, caramel, burnt oak, vanilla bean, plums and fig. Not nearly as hot as you might imagine at over 14% but booze does lead the taste followed by big vanilla and raisin. oak character adds a slight spice to thick toffee and caramel malt flavors. Let this one warm to open up fruit notes like cherry and bourbon soaked orange rinds. Gigantic is known for their ever rotating artist label series. This bottle art was created by AJ Fosik, who has done several pieces for the band Mastodon. 14% ABV | |
