⌂ > New Belgium Felix Aged in Apple Whiskey Barrels

As handcrafted as it gets, this is an unblended single foeder sour beer re-barreled on apple whiskey barrels from Leopold Brothers.  Pours a hazy golden with slight head.  Nose is full of tart cherry, lactic acid, lime zest, oak, leather and vanilla.  The initial taste while puckering has a nice warm vanilla and toffee character that gives the beer a nice drinkability.  Moss, fermented apple skin and other fun funk character are subtle under tart sour character.  An amazingly complex beer.
