Old Ale brewed with molasses.  This variant has been aged in maple bourbon barrels.  Pours a hazy amber brown with slight khaki head.  Nose is filled with caramel, whiskey, maple, pepper, vanilla bean, toffee, pecan and chickory.  Sticky and sweet taste filled with maple and burnt sugar.  Toffee, whiskey, vanilla, dark plum and blackberries, very faint smoke and peppery oak character. Beer is sweet but never cloying with a sharp hop bite and medium carb still present that bring an incredible balance to the beer.  One of the most composed and balanced barrel aged beers we have ever had.
