This English-Style barleywine is brewed in collaboration with Jackie-O's brewery that is well-known for their barrel-aged brews and stouts.  Lactose is added in the brewing which lends a creaminess (more than additional sweetness) to the mouthfeel.  It pours a bright rich copper with lacy head that discipates quickly.  Smells of toffee, black tea, apricot jam, and fig.  The flavor follows closely with black tea, lactose, malt candy, and candied cherry in the finish.  There is some noticeable warming alcohol.  The mouthfeel is silky and moderately viscous but balanced by mild carbonation.  12% ABV.
