This deep brown ale smells like bitter chocolate with rich caramel notes, and a hint of vanilla.  The flavor is rich with chocolate as well but is matched with a smooth almond like nuttiness and just the right amount of smoke.  The finish is nicely dried out, bringing an earthiness to the table that only betters the experience of this brew.  A medium to full body that is matching the flavor makes its richness more evident, this brown ale is decadent without being overwhelming.
