Description: | Think of this Jester King Jolly Pumpkin Collaboration as an ode to Monkish Brewing Hazy IPAs...with a typical farmhouse twist you'd expect from these two brewers. Poursa cloudy light straw gold. Nose is lemon rind, pine sap and saddle leather with a very slight mango juice lingering. Initial tropical fruit juice notes -- peach and mango are quickly overwhelmed by dry brett yeast botes of white pepper, funky fermented pineapple and juniper berry. Bitter earthy pine hop notes intermingle with spicy dry resionous yeast esters on the finish giving the beer an almost British pale ale bite not unlike those found in Samuel Smith's stone square fermented ales. An incredibly complex yet delicate beer. | |
