| Description: | Deschutes 29th Anniversary release. This Imperial Porter is brewed differently every year. This years version uses Turbinado Sugar, Dutched Cocoa Powder, cinnamon, and cayenne in the brew and then gets aged on bourbon and rum barrels. The final beer is a 50/50 blend of barrel aged beer and fresh beer. The cinnamon and cayenne notes are fairly subdued but build as the beer warms. Barrel notes are sticky sweet notes of vanilla and brown sugar that contrast the roasty malt character of the base beer. Finishes with warming alcohol and toffee. 12.2% ABV | |
