Blue Blaze had combined recipes from two classice German Altbier styles to create this refreshing, lighter-bodied brew.  It pours a deep amber with bright fluffy head.  Aromas include caramel malt, toffee, and tree nuts.  Flavors are similar but with an added hint of dried dark fruits and earthy hop.  The finish is slightly dry with notes of powdered cocoa earthiness, warm wheat bread, and grass. Medium bodied.  5%
