Pale, haze yellow with a loose and quickly dissipating  head.  Olas Especiales has aromatic notes of dry oak, sour funk, dried lime and a subtle background of floral fruit character provided by the addition of cherries.  Tangy and bright on the palate, you first note the mildly acidic notes of lime with a drying cherry flavor on the back end of the palate which then balances with some of the residual sweetness provided by the fruit addition to this beer.  While both breweries are somewhat notorious for some extreme funk, this Sour Saison is surprisingly smooth and makes good use of the lingering fruitiness present by using it to balance the funk and acidity traditionally found in their beers, nevermind how exceedingly drinkable it is!  5.9% ABV
