⌂ > Deschutes Scotch Abyss

This version of The Abyss pours completely opaque black. The nose is of dark and bitter chocolate.  Smells a bit like chocolate covered cherries.  There are also hints of molasses, smoke and wood.  Like the nose, the flavor is of bitter chocolate, cherries, and vanilla.  All components work well with the baker's chocolate character.  Big bodied stout that is a great sipping brew.  Delicious!
