Lucille is an Imperial Stout brewed with blackstrap molasses and vanilla. Swinging for the fences, we aged this beer on hickory, maple, and white ash, the three woods that are used to produce baseball bats. Big and menacing, its flavors hit hard. This Imperial Stout pours a dark brown to black. The aroma was full of chocolate, toffee, coffee, and roasted nuts. The sweetness was followed by some of the tannin from the barrel aging, providing notes of oak, vanilla, and maple syrup. Can taste the alcohol in the finish. 9.4% ABV
