Description: | "Stop! Commence the sippin' Westbrook is back with a brand new invention with this not-so-traditional twist on our German-style Berliner Weisse. Rhubarb Remix is brewed with the traditional no-boil method, and then infused with strawberries and rhubarb." Brewed in the style of a Berliner Weissbier with strawberry and rhubarb, available in 750 ml. bottles and on limited draft. One-time limited run release. Pours a crisp, fizzy head of an ecru white over a moderately hazy amber standard body with lively carbonation and low retention. Sour and funk punches the front of the nose, which is followed with a curious blend of essence of strawberry puree and some enhanced tanginess. The front flavors of sharp sourness and tart is dry with a light unmalted wheat base and evident funk and tangy character in the dry finish. The strawberry and rhubarb from the aroma is less as defined in the flavor, while the tart shines. The texture is silky, tangy, and dry with a mild alcohol presence. 4 % for easy drinking. $$$ | |
