This American Wild Ale spends two years in barrels after being inoculated with bacteria and wild yeast. The resulting beer is a stunningly sour red ale of world. Aromas of tart cherries, raspberries, vanilla beans, cocoa nibs and green apple skin. The initial taste is sharply tart raspberry. Lingering sherry and boozy vanilla overlays hints of bakers chocolate, mild roasted espresso and chocolate covered cherries. Crisply acidic on the finish with mild oak and tanninc qualities lingering. One of the best in it's style anywhere.
