⌂ > Against the Grain Gnight Ryder

This beer pours chocolate in color with ruby undertones.  An imperial black IPA aged in red wine barrels that comes out resembling something much different.  Aromas of dark fruits, baker's chocolate, vanilla, oak and alcohol.  The flavors mimic the aroma in this complex brew which is surprisingly dry and not at all bitter.  The finish is reminescent of a Cab--dry with warming alcohol and a woodiness like pine cones, the only hint at the IPA inside. 9%.
